Courtney Pratt, Chairman of the Toronto Regional Research Alliance, addresses Homecoming participants.

At first I came to (the conference) because I felt an obligation to my family. Toronto Homecoming has changed that — I’m actually excited about the idea of moving back.” – Toronto Homecoming 2011 Participant

It was a fantastic event and I hope it will become an annual occurrence. I have already told three or four friends from Toronto who are living abroad about it and they are keen to be a part of ‘Toronto Homecoming.’” -Toronto Homecoming 2010 Participant

For two highly successful years in a row, Toronto Homecoming has welcomed home talented Torontonians living abroad. Participants connected with potential employers, interacted with executive search firms and city leaders, and visited some of Toronto’s most exciting neighbourhoods.

Toronto Homecoming 2010 attracted forty Torontonians back to the city from all over the world. Subsequent to the event, a number of participants have found great jobs and are moving back to the city. The vast majority said that they were more likely to return to the city as a result of taking part in the event. See the schedule and sponsors for this inaugural event.

Toronto Homecoming 2011 was even bigger, with close to 100 people and dozens of partnering organizations. Three streams were introduced: Financial and Professional Services, Not-for-profit and Government, and Science and Technology. See the event schedule and sponsors.
