
Toronto Homecoming 2011 was a series of events, spread over four days, that connected Canadians living abroad with professional opportunities in Toronto.
This year’s events included:
- Opening Reception hosted by RBC at their Toronto headquarters
- Welcome breakfast and sessions discussing the job market in Toronto and how to market your international experience to Toronto employers.
- Family friendly event and tour highlighting select Toronto neighbourhoods.
- Closing Brunch with panel of recent returnees
- Additional networking and social events TBC
Financial and Professional Services Stream
- Panel discussion with representatives from leading Toronto employers in financial and professional services
- Opportunities to network with senior staff from Toronto-based banks, consultancies, advisory/accounting firms, and investment firms
- Hear from leading recruiters about winning strategies to land quality positions in Toronto
Not-for-profit and Government Stream
- Keynote speech from a Canadian leader in social innovation
- Meeting with senior executives from the Ontario government
- Informal sessions with experienced executives about job opportunities and professional networks
- Site visit(s) to influential centres active in decision-making and affecting economic, environmental and social change, such as MaRS Discovery District, the Ontario Legislature, and Centre for Social Innovation (TBC)
Science and Technology Stream
